Desk and Chair Deals
-
Flexispot EN1 Standing Desk for $236 ($12 off)—Tap the Coupon Button: Clip the coupon to see the discount at checkout. It's not an amazing deal, but this is an affordable, motorized standing desk that does the job. The installation process has some quirks and the surface is made of environmentally-friendly chipboard, but there are three custom heights you can set. I especially like that it doesn't wobble. You can get a narrower model from Flexispot for $200 ($100 off) if you clip the coupon.
-
Need Computer Desk for $130 ($27 off): I use this desk every day. It takes about 5 minutes to put together, and it's spacious yet looks attractive. The surface is made of particle wood, but it's held up with zero scratches so far, and it holds a lot of weight.
-
Staples Hyken Mesh Task Chair for $190 ($47 off): WIRED Reviews Editor Jeffrey Van Camp uses this chair and likes it. The mesh holds up and allows for good airflow, while the headrest and lumbar support don't strain your muscles. Plus, it reclines. This deal is also available at Amazon.
-
Staples Ardfield Mesh Back Fabric Task Chair for $85 ($45 off): This one's another recommendation from Jeffrey. It won't last forever, but it's a good, affordable choice if you just need something small with lumbar support.
-
X-Chair X1 Flex Mesh Task Chair for $690 ($100 off): This is a standard version of the very fancy, very expensive chair I tested, and that makes it more ideal for smaller people (I'm 6'4"). The mesh keeps you cool, the arms don't flop about, and the lumbar support automatically adjusts to your position. It's very comfortable to sit in. Grab the X2 in Black with the Wide Seat if you're like me and need more room.
Monitor Deals
-
LG 34-Inch Ultrawide Monitor for $450 ($100 off): Many of the folks on WIRED's Gear team use ultrawide monitors with 21:9 aspect ratios because they're better for multitasking. They're wide enough to fit two sizable browsers side-by-side, effectively getting you close to the real estate of two computer monitors for one. This one's high resolution with a high refresh rate and low latency. It's HDR10 compatible too for a more color-accurate movie-watching experience.
-
BenQ GW2480 24-Inch IPS Monitor for $120 ($29 off): This is a fairly standard 24-inch monitor with positive reviews across the web. You get a Full HD resolution, a professional design, and VESA mount support.
-
Acer Nitro 24-Inch IPS HD Monitor for $152 ($48 off): It looks attractive, has legs that won't take up much room, and you get Full HD quality at a reasonable size. Plus, if you like to game on the side, you'll appreciate the 1-millisecond latency and 144 Hz screen refresh rate. It's also VESA-mountable.
-
LG 24-Inch IPS Monitor for $150 ($150 off): Here's another LG monitor on sale. It's not an ultrawide but a standard 24-inch with VESA mounting capabilities, slim bezels, and a Full HD resolution.
Keyboard and Mouse Deals
-
Razer Viper Ultimate Ambidextrous Wireless Mouse for $100 ($30 off): This is our favorite wireless mouse. It's incredibly responsive and its design works for both lefties and righties. Even if you don't play video games, there are a lot of reasons why you should buy a gaming mouse over anything else.
-
Logitech G603 Lightspeed Mouse for $50 ($20 off): The G603 lets you connect to your computer either through Bluetooth or Logitech's Lightspeed Wi-Fi, which comes with a wireless adapter that plugs into a USB port. On Wi-Fi, the response time is a mere one millisecond.
-
HyperX Pulsefire Surge RGB for $40 ($7 off): WIRED writer Jess Grey says this is a solid all-around mouse, now with a more reasonable price. You can customize the RGB lighting (or turn it off), it's comfortable to use, and you'll get quick response times.
-
Razer Ornata Chroma Keyboard for $60 ($40 off): If you don't want to spend as much, this is another good full-size option. It's not a mechanical keyboard, so your roommates won't have to hear all your clickety-clacks, and you can customize the color of the backlit keys. Plus, you get a wrist rest.
-
Razer Huntsman Mechanical Keyboard for $100 ($73 off):This is the Gears of War edition of the Huntsman keyboard. It's full-sized, NumPad and all, and you get clicky switches with Razer's programmable RGB. -
Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition Keyboard for $106 ($24 off):Mini keyboards are all the rage these days. This mechanical one from Razer chops off the NumPad so you can save some desk space. It lights up to any color you want (or you can turn it off), has an aluminum construction, and gives you a satisfying typing experience. Read our Best Keyboards guide to find out what kind of switch is right for you.
Headphone, Speaker, and Mic Deals
-
Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise-Cancelling Headphones for $298 ($52 off)—Our Top Pick: These are the best wireless headphones you can buy right now. It's comfy, sounds great, has long battery life, improved mics, and its noise-canceling is exceptional, too.
-
HyperX Cloud Flight Wireless Headset for $125 ($15 off): If you're on Zoom calls every minute of the day, consider getting a wireless headset with a built-in mic. This headset is getting older, but Reviews Editor Jeffrey Van Camp likes this one because it lasts 30 hours on a single charge.
-
Echo Studio High Fidelity Smart Speaker for $150 ($50 off): Amazon's Studio smart speaker is for the audiophile who wants Alexa, but doesn't want to sacrifice sound quality. It's got 350 watts of power and a downward-firing subwoofer that pumps out more low end than most other speakers this size. It even listens and adjusts the sound to fit your particular space, which makes it great for smaller rooms like home offices.
-
Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Headphones for $199 ($144 off): These headphones are getting a little long in the tooth, but they're still excellent, especially at this price. You get good noise-canceling tech to drown out roommates (or kids), and more than 20 hours on a single charge.
Laptop and Laptop Stand Deals
Be sure to read our longer list of laptop deals for Prime Day.
-
Apple MacBook Air 13-Inch for $850 ($150 off): The 2020 MacBook Air is powerful and compact, but best of all is the completely revamped Magic Keyboard. Gone are the butterfly key switches that caused so many issues in years past. Read more about it in our review.
-
Surface Pro 7—Intel i5, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD—for $1,100 ($300 off) at Microsoft's Store: This is a good deal on Microsoft's best hybrid tablet/laptop. It offers the Core i5 chip, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 256-gigabyte SSD. You can also get $30 off a Type Cover, and you definitely want a Type Cover.
-
Acer Aspire 3 15-Inch for $500 ($120 off) at Acer.com: This is one of our favorite cheap laptops. WIRED writer Scott Gilbertson says it's the best value among the other 15-inch laptops he's tested. You get good performance with the Intel Core i5 chip, 8 gigabytes of RAM, and the dedicated Nvidia graphics card, plus there are tons of ports. His gripes? The screen isn't the sharpest and the speakers don't get too loud.
-
Google Pixelbook Go for $1,199 ($200 off): This is a pricey Chromebook, but it's one of our top picks. This version has a Core i7 Intel chip, so it's very powerful. It's also lightweight, has a nice keyboard, 16 gigabytes of RAM, 256-gigabytes of storage, and two USB-C ports.
-
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 13-Inch for $941 ($59 off): If you're looking for one of the prettiest and feature-filled Chromebooks, look no further. There's a stylus built in, and when you pull it out, the Google Keep app opens automatically. Its fanless design is also silent and cool, and it has a sturdy, aluminum, and lightweight build. Did I say it has a 4K AMOLED screen? Because it has a 4K AMOLED screen. Read our review for more.
-
Neetto Height Adjustable Laptop Bed Table for $60 ($5 off)—Tap the Coupon Button: Click the coupon checkbox on the page to see the deal at checkout. If you want to comfortably work off the couch (or bed), this laptop stand comes well reviewed around the web. You can adjust the height and angle, and it can fit most laptops (or a breakfast tray).
-
Superjare Dual Monitor Stand Riser for $29 ($4 off)—Click the Coupon Button: WIRED writer Medea Giordano has been using this monitor and laptop stand for several months and loves how it keeps everything organized and out of the way while still looking pretty. It's about 12 percent off, but if you clip the on-page coupon, you'll get an extra 10 percent off at checkout for the $26 price.
-
Moft Slim Laptop Stand for $18 ($7 off):This stand sticks to the bottom of your laptop, and is a good option if you just need a bit of an adjustment. It holds true to its name because when you don't need it, it sits pretty flush against the bottom of your computer. -
Acer Swift 3—Intel i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD—for $640 ($40 off):WIRED staff writer Scott Gilbertson says that right now the Swift 3 is the best cheap laptop you can get. The mid-level Intel i5 processor and 256 GB solid state drive make it reasonably zippy-quick and the 14-inch IPS LCD display is full HD at 1920 x 1080 resolution. It made our favorite cheap laptops guide for a reason.
Other Helpful Deals
-
Vava USB-C 9-in-1 Hub for $50 ($10 off)—Tap the Coupon Button: Click the coupon checkbox to see the sale at checkout. This hub lets me connect various accessories and peripherals to my laptop. There are nine ports in total, from an HDMI port for connecting an external display and an SD card slot to a headphone jack. It means I only need to unplug one thing when I move from my desk to the couch.
-
Eero Home Mesh Wi-Fi System 3-Pack for $174 ($75 off): Our reviews editor, Jeffrey Van Camp, purchased this system earlier this summer for $250. We’ve seen it at $160 before, but it’s rarely this low. If you have a larger house, or your internet modem is in a corner of it and you have trouble getting stable Wi-Fi everywhere, Eero is an easy fix. You just place the three nodes (or add more) in different zones of your house to stitch together a more stable Wi-Fi network.
-
Aukey Omnia 100W USB-C GaNFast Charger for $40 ($6): It's not a crazy deal but did you hear? Apple is not including a charger in its newest iPhone anymore. This one will let you recharge your new iPhone and your laptop if it has a USB-C port for charging, like MacBooks.
-
Aukey Webcam for $50 ($10 off): Webcams are still a little tough to find or wildly overpriced due to high demand. I've been using this one for several months, and while colors are muted and the image quality is only OK, it does the job if you can't find anything else for less.
-
iRobot Roomba 692 for $200 ($120 off): WIRED senior writer Adrienne So says that any time an iRobot vacuum goes near $200, it's a great deal. If you need to clean your workspace, but you don't have time to pull out the vacuum yourself, this little guy will do the job. Even though this is an older model, it still has a powerful motor, world-class navigation, and features like Dirt Detect.
-
Blueair Pure 411+ Air Purifier for $98 ($42 off):We tested this bedroom purifier during the wildfires that choked Oregon, and it worked admirably, which means it will work great to keep the air smelling fresh in your home office. You can also get a twin-pack for a big discount.
