Note: Prime Day is over. Check our list of remaining Prime Day deals and deals from the final day of Walmart's sale for the deals that remain. Or read our package of amazing retro tech. As always, we hope we helped you sift through the discounts and find good products.

Amazon Prime Day is almost over, gear heads! But don't fret, WIRED's Gear team has been wading through the 80,000+ items on sale around the clock, searching for the best deals on products we actually like, as well as those from competitors like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Whether you're looking to get some early holiday shopping done, or just aiming to treat yourself to some discounted knick-knack or other, we've got you covered. These are the best deals we've come across, with a little information about each item based on our experiences.

Note: We strike through items that sell out or rise in price as we update this guide. Discounts sometimes return quickly, so check for yourself. You'll need a subscription to Amazon Prime to get most of these deals.

Final Update October 15: We added the LG CX-Series 4K TV, Bose SoundLink Revolve, Yamaha YAS-109 soundbar, and Fujifilm X-T3 camera and re-added some previously sold-out deals. We also crossed out some deals that have ended.

Deals on Amazon Products

As usual, Amazon has slashed prices on many of its own house-made products and services, including smart speakers and screens, and even discounted memberships to premium services like Kindle Unlimited. We've included a few of our favorites here, but read our roundup of the best Amazon device deals for more.

  • Buy $40 in Amazon Gift Cards, Get $10 Free—Click "Apply Code to Your Account": This Prime-exclusive deal is sort of a no-brainer if you are planning on spending $50 at Amazon before the end of the year. You shouldn't feel pressured, but if you frequently shop at Amazon, this is like getting $10 for free. The $10 credit will be applied to your account within two days and the credit expires at the end of 2020. This deal works with physical and digital gift cards.

  • Kindle Paperwhite for $80 ($50 off): The Paperwhite is our favorite Kindle for most people because it's got a better display than the base model and is IPX8 rated for water resistance, which means you don't have to be worried about taking it in the tub. Note that it will be back in stock on November 10.

  • Kindle Kid's Edition $75 ($35 off): The new Kid's Edition Kindle is a solid ebook reader. The key difference between this and the standard Kindle? You get a two-year guarantee that Amazon will replace the device if your kid breaks it. There's also a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+ (formerly called FreeTime), and the tech giant excludes games, ads, and voice assistants. It isn't waterproof.

  • Fire HD 10 for $80 ($70 off): The Fire HD 10 is the most expensive Fire tablet Amazon makes. It has more storage, runs quicker, and has the best display of them all. This deal is on the 32-gigabyte model with ads. Note that these will be back in stock on October 31.

  • Fire HD 8 Kids Edition for $80 ($60 off): We've always thought Amazon's kid tablets are bargains, with a rugged case and a very generous two-year worry-free guarantee. The biggest difference between the new Fire HD 8 Kids and previous versions is longer battery life, a USB-C port—oh, and renaming the FreeTime Unlimited Platform to Kids and Kids+.

  • Eero Home Mesh Wi-Fi System 3-Pack for $174 ($75 off): WIRED Reviews Editor Jeffrey Van Camp purchased this system earlier this summer for $250. We've seen it at $160 before, but it's rarely this low. If you have a larger house, or your internet modem is in a corner of it and you have trouble getting stable Wi-Fi everywhere, Eero is an easy fix. You just place the three nodes (or add more) in different zones of your house to stitch together a more stable Wi-Fi network.

  • Echo Studio High Fidelity Smart Speaker for $150 ($50 off): Amazon's Studio smart speaker is for the audiophile who wants Alexa, but doesn't want to sacrifice sound quality. It's got 350 watts of power and a downward-firing subwoofer that pumps out more low end than most other speakers this size. It even listens and adjusts the sound to fit your particular space, which makes it great for smaller rooms like home offices.
