18 Eleventh-Hour Holiday Deals on Games, Headphones, and More

It's the weekend before you-know-what, and that means lots of last-minute shopping. Or, if you've actually planned things, that means kicking back and watching everyone else do their last-minute shopping. I'm firmly in the first category. Is it really the holiday season if you're not doing all your shopping just days before?

Shipping times were already inflated due to y'know, the pandemic, but now every retailer is even more backlogged than ever before. That means some of the items on this list won't arrive until after Christmas, so double-check expected shipping times before confirming your purchases. You should also peruse through our Last-Minute Gifts Ideas guide as we've curated a few items that purportedly will arrive before December 25. With that said, here are our favorite weekend deals on games, home appliances, and Baby Yoda socks.

  • Vizio 50-inch 4K HDR TV for $298 ($52 off): It's happened, 4K is the new 1080p. This 50-inch 4K TV from Vizio is a steal at less than $300. Back in my day, you had to pay over $1,000 for 4K and when you found one under your budget you still had to trudge fifteen miles in the snow to the local Walmart to pick it up.

  • Instant Pot VIVA 6-Quart for $49 ($51 off): Every kitchen should have a pressure cooker, and the Instant Pot is a great choice. It can make just about anything, but if you're like me, that anything is almost always going to be rice. The Instant Pot is great for that.

  • Milk Frother for $13 ($7 off): This one's in here just for me. Sure, steaming is the preferred method of frothing up some milk, but these little guys can make any kind of milk (oat and cow are my faves) into a frothy foam that takes your morning coffee to a new level. It's also great for hot chocolate. Don't use water to make hot chocolate, this PSA is brought to you by the Don't Use Water for Hot Chocolate commission.

  • 15 Days of The Mandalorian Socks for $20 ($5 off): Ever use an advent calendar? The little things with candy for every day of December leading up to Christmas? This one's essentially one of those, but it's delightfully nondenominational and you get Baby Yoda socks instead of candy.

Apple and Headphone Deals

  • iPad Pro 11-inch 256 GB for $829 ($70 off): I've been in love with my iPad Pro 11-inch since the day I got it. It's completely changed how I draw, take notes, and watch The Crown in bed until 3 am. If this is priced too high, Apple's recently updated iPad is also on sale for a cool $300.

  • Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) for $99 ($30 off): Even if you're not an artist, the Apple Pencil is a must-have accessory for the iPad Pro. There's just something very satisfying about taking notes on an iPad. OK, that satisfying thing is really just that I make a lot of mistakes and it's easier to erase on an iPad than it is in real life. I can undo as many times as I want without erasing my way through anything or smearing pencils all over the place.

  • Apple AirPods Pro for $199 ($50 off): It's no AirPods Max, but the Pro are excellent earbuds for any iPhone or iPad owner. They have a great fit due to the silicone ear tips, they sound great, have a wireless charging case, and the noise cancellation is pretty good too! The only downer is the less than stellar battery life, but the case can add an extra 24 hours to your listening time.

  • 1More ColorBuds for $80 ($20 off): If paying hundreds of dollars for a way to listen to music seems dumb, then the ColorBuds are for you. They have better battery life than Apple's basic AirPods, plus you get a more ergonomic fit (that works for most people), great sound, and fun colors! Read our review.

  • Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Headphones for $278 ($72 off): Despite debuting only a few months ago, these headphones have continually been on sale. Best of all, they're our absolute favorite pair of wireless headphones right now. Seriously, they check off all the boxes, from stellar sound and noise-canceling tech to excellent battery life. Read our review.

  • Bose Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones 700 for $340 ($40 off): Noise-canceling headphones are a must-have if you have a roommate. Especially during quarantine. Being able to experience pure silence is an absolute treasure these days, and they also have the best microphone clarity for all your Zoom calls.
