Considering we've all been staying indoors and social distancing, chances are high you got a digital gift or virtual gift card this holiday season. The best way to spend gift cards (or pick up a last-minute present) is by ensuring you get a good discount, which is why we've rounded up some of the best after-Christmas deals on products we tested and like this year.
And if the too-small sweater or clunky headphones under the tree didn't make your nice list, here's how to return everything.

Outdoor and Fitness Deals
January is rife with deals on fitness and outdoor gear thanks to the newfound determination of people with New Year's resolutions. If the health-related gadget or gizmo you've been eyeing isn't on sale yet, it probably will be soon.
-
REI Year-End Sale: Up to 50 percent off: Nearly every category of outdoor gear that REI sells is discounted. These sorts of big, sweeping discounts aren't particularly rare for REI, but they are the best times to see if any brand you love has some good deals. For example, all of us on the Gear team swear by DarnTough socks, and a few of the Hiker styles are discounted. They're ultra-warm and great for cold weather (and backed by a lifetime guarantee).
-
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 for $339 ($61 off): If you're looking for an Apple Watch alternative, this is it. It has blood oxygen saturation measuring capabilities, an electrocardiogram, and you can do all the usual smartwatch functions like step tracking and responding to notifications on your phone. It'll work on iPhones but with limited functionality. If you don't want to spend as much, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is also a good option with a similar feature set for $200 ($70 off).
-
Fossil Gen 5E Men's for $139 ($110 off) and Women's for $139 ($110 off): This is the best deal we've seen on these relatively new watches, even better than Fossil's Black Friday sale. At this price, they're great options for checking notifications and basic fitness tracking, but the battery will last only a day, and they're not super speedy.
-
Garmin Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire Edition for $350 ($400 off): This isn't the latest Garmin, but if you're a multisport athlete in search of a rugged fitness watch, this is a great option on sale. It offers color topographic maps, route tracking, an altimeter, and GPS functionality. It'll also analyze your heart rate to tell you what level of activity your body is ready for. The display is protected by sapphire crystal, which is tougher to scratch than glass.
-
Beats Powerbeats Pro for $170 ($80 off): Earbuds keep falling off when you work out? These will stay in no matter what you're doing and have good sound quality and 9-hour battery life. Our review has more details.
-
Apple Watch Series 6 for $350 ($49 off): This is the best smartwatch if you have an iPhone. It can track sleep, blood oxygen saturation and the level of ambient noise around you, plus it has an ECG and can do plenty more. Read our review.
Tech and Gaming Deals
Upgrade your gadget setup with deals on tech that WIRED recommends. Digital discounts can beef up your gaming library, too—perfect for long, hedonistic weekends.
-
Google Pixel 4A 5G for $459 ($40 off): This is one of our favorite Android phones at the moment. For under $500 with this deal, you get 5G access, cameras that rival the iPhone, good battery life, and a wonderful OLED screen. Read our review for more.
-
Moto G Stylus for $200 ($100 off): This Motorola phone has good enough performance for most tasks and great battery life, but its cameras are just OK. At this price, it's nearly unmatched. Our review has more.
-
Samsung Galaxy A71 for $445 ($155 off): We think Google's Pixel is a better buy, but the A71 matches it in many areas and is a perfectly fine Android-capable phone if you want to stick with Samsung. Read our review for more.
-
OnePlus 8 for $599 ($100 off): This year's OnePlus phones are pricier than usual, so this $100 off sale makes the OnePlus 8 all the more reasonable. You don't get wireless charging at this price, but that's about all it's really missing. The OnePlus 8 Pro is also on sale for $799 ($100 off). Our review has all the details.
-
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra for $1,100 ($200 off): Looking for one of the best and biggest Android phones of the year? The Note 20 Ultra delivers in every way, even with its exceptional build quality. Plus, it includes a stylus if that's something you want. Our review has more.
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for $250 ($100 off): Looking for a cheap tablet? This one is a cut above Amazon's Fire tablets, but it's not as smooth-performing as Apple's iPad. If you specifically want an Android tablet, you can do no better at this price. Read our review.
-
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ for $741 ($109 off): If you're on the opposite spectrum and are looking for the best Android tablet, this is it. From an amazing OLED, 120-Hz screen to excellent performance and speakers, this machine is rivaled only by Apple's iPad Pro. The cheaper Tab S7 is also on sale for $550 ($100 off), and the biggest compromise is the LCD screen. Read our review for more.
-
Microsoft Surface Book 3 for $1,300 ($300 off): It's still spendy, but the Surface Book 3 is a powerful 2-in-1 if you're looking for a Windows machine that can go from tablet to laptop. This price makes it a bit more reasonable.
-
Vizio 55-Inch 4K OLED TV for $1,100 ($200 off): This isn't the best deal we've seen for this TV—it's about $200 more than the lowest price—but if you missed out on the Black Friday prices and you're in the market, it's worth checking out. Usually, an OLED over 50 inches on sale costs at least $400 more than today's deal.
-
Asus Chromebook Flip C434 for $524 ($46 off): It's not a huge discount, but this is our favorite Chromebook. If you can do all of your work off the Google Chrome browser, then why spend more? Get a Chromebook.
-
Apple AirPods Pro for $199 ($19 off): These have basically been on sale on and off for $200 since October. This is still the best price outside of Black Friday we've seen. If Santa didn't bring you a pair, they're worth checking out. We like the AirPods Pro a lot, especially for iPhone owners.
-
JBL Clip 3 Mini Bluetooth Speaker for $40 ($30 off): The Clip 3 is a great option for portable sound. The built-in carabiner makes it easy to clip onto your fanny pack or bike handlebars, and the waterproofing lets you take it to the lake (or into the shower for singing accompaniment).
-
JBL Boombox for $299 ($100 off): This isn't JBL's latest Boombox, but it's still a powerful Bluetooth speaker. It's IPX7 water resistant, can double as a power bank to charge your phone, and of course, pumps out excellent bass.
-
Sony WH-1000XM4 for $278 ($72 off): These cans are our favorite wireless headphones. Not only do you get wonderful sound, but there's also long battery life and excellent noise-canceling tech to drown out the rest of your quarantine pod.
-
Hades for $20 ($5 off): If you haven't played Hades yet, you're missing out. WIRED staffers love it. It's inexpensive, it has amazing art and sound design, and the characters are equal parts mysterious and familiar. We love it most for PC, but this deal also applies to the Nintendo Switch version. You can read more about it in our review.
-
The Sims 4 Expansion + Base Game Sale: Nearly every expansion pack for The Sims 4 is on sale right now. The base game is also super-cheap, but if you're planning on buying an expansion or two, Amazon is offering the base game code for free with your purchase. Our Sims 4 DLC ranking can help you decide which packs are worthwhile.

Spruce up your space with discounts on goods for your kitchen, office, and more.
-
iHealth No-Touch Forehead Thermometer for $25 ($20 off): WIRED readers loved this deal on Black Friday, and it's available again. The instant infrared reading lets you avoid prodding ornery, sick kiddos, and thermometers have been difficult to find in stock this year.
-
Coway Airmega 200M for $169 ($60 off): This is our favorite air purifier—and a really good deal. It's simple to use, pretty affordable, and automatically turns off when not actively purifying.
-
Eufy Robovac 30C for $180 ($120 off): This is as basic as robot vacuums come, but if you set it on a schedule every day, you'll be amazed at how little you need to clean up at the end of each week. Just remember to regularly empty the bin. It works with Amazon's Alexa or Google Assistant.
-
Atlas Coffee Club for free ($14 off): If you love coffee, you'll want to use the freshest beans you can get, whether in your espresso machine or French press. This subscription service is one of our favorites, sending you a bag from a different country every month (with a postcard and tasting notes!). Atlas is running a promotion that nets you the first bag for free. If you don't want to be charged later, make sure you set a reminder to cancel the subscription.
-
Nest Mini for $25 ($25 off): We like Google Assistant more than Alexa, and this is the best basic Google Assistant speaker. These speakers go on sale for less than this sometimes, but this is a good deal if you want an extra in your kitchen or office.
-
Roku Streaming Stick for $38 ($11 off): This is a good discount on the Best 4K Streaming Stick.
-
OXO Burr Grinder with Integrated Scale for $160 ($40 off): This is one of the best deals we've seen for this coffee grinder, which is a great luxury pick. Burr grinders are consistent, and they help ensure your coffee grounds come out the way you actually want them to.
-
Petcube Bites 2 for $169 ($80): This is the lowest price we've seen for one of our favorite pet cameras. You can remotely dispense treats via the companion app and even talk to your pet if they're feeling anxious (or are on the couch).
-
Lenovo Smart Clock Essential for $25 ($25 off): Lenovo makes good smart displays. This one has a small footprint, a clock interface, and Google Assistant but no bright screen or camera. It's a great pick for a nightstand.
-
Instant Pot Viva 6-Quart for $49 ($50 off): This is a match of a deal we saw on Black Friday. Instant Pots are popular for good reason—they can perform a myriad of cooking processes, from quickly making rice or mashed potatoes to baking a cake to sterilizing baby bottle parts. This model can even sous vide.
-
Aukey 65W 2-Port Fast Wall Charger for $30 ($8 off): Clip the coupon button to get the discount. The lack of wall adapters being included with modern technology might be a nuisance if you don't have an old one lying around. This Aukey one has enough power to juice up a MacBook Air and your iPhone at the same time, and it's relatively small.
