The 17 Best Weekend Deals on Headphones, Webcams, and More

Amazon Prime Day is nine days away, but you don't have to wait to score a deal. Plenty of gadgets are on sale already, whether they're early Prime Day deals from Amazon or from competing retailers. We've found discounts on streaming sticks, wireless headphones, and one of our favorite webcams.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you'd like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

If you buy something using links in our stories, we may earn a commission. This helps support our journalism. Learn more.

Home and Health Deals

23andMe Health + Ancestry Test Kit for $150 ($50 off With Coupon): Click the on-page coupon to see the deal at checkout. Unearthing family trees is more popular than ever thanks to simple saliva-sample test kits like 23andMe. Send a vial (included in the box) of your spit, wait a few weeks, and find out from which parts of the world your ancestors came from. This kit also includes a health analysis. It'll tell you if you're predisposed to certain diseases or disorders, based on whether you have gene variants corresponding to them. The standalone ancestry kit is also on sale for $89 ($10 off).

Toshiba 50-Inch 4K Fire TV (2020 Model) for $310 ($120 off): Amazon's Fire TV is built into this TV so you can stream your favorite channels without needing a standalone streaming stick or box. It’ll pair with an Echo speaker or display so that you can control it with Alexa via voice commands if your hands are too busy digging through a tub of popcorn.

iRobot Roomba i7+ Robot Vacuum for $649 ($351 off): It’s far from the newest robot vacuum, but when she reviewed it in 2018, WIRED associate editor Adrienne So gave it high marks for its ability to return to its base and automatically empty its own dustbin when full. It can remember up to 10 floorplans and operates using vSLAM, an improved navigation system that works by using cameras so that it won’t just pinball around your room.

Ninja Foodi Deluxe XL Multi-Cooker for $200 ($50 off): Ninja’s competitor to the Instant Pot plays up its ability to air fry, with a five-quart crisping basket, but it’s also a pressure cooker, steamer, and slow cooker. You can make the stalwart dishes, like yogurt and rice, but it also makes a wicked good cheesecake. The eight-quart ceramic-coated nonstick pot is large enough to make dinner for your whole family—or leftovers for yourself for a week.

Fitbit Charge 4 for $100 ($30 off): The Charge 4 is our favorite fitness tracker for most people. Its sensors are accurate, and you get built-in GPS and some of the best sleep-tracking tech in the business. Just know that some of its best features require a subscription to Fitbit Premium. This deal is also available at Amazon.

Don't see anything you want? Our Best Wireless Headphones, Best Cheap Headphones, and Best Wireless Earbuds guides have more.

AirPods Pro for $197 ($52 off): Apple's AirPods have regularly been dipping to this price for some time. We like 'em a lot. The active noise cancellation blocks out droning ambient sounds, and the bass response is better than it has any right to be. The downside? The battery life is short, but the wireless charging case is good for another 19.5 hours of listening time.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro for $170 ($30 off): The dual-driver Galaxy Buds Pro from Samsung are some of the best-sounding wireless earbuds around right now. They're comfortable to wear, block out sound well, and have excellent microphone quality. They're even sweat-resistant and have marginally better battery life than the AirPods above. This deal is also available at Samsung.

Bose Noise Canceling 700 for $330 ($50 off): If you're frequently making phone calls in busy environments, you have to try these headphones from Bose. They can isolate your voice over all the chatter from the coffee shop around you, so the person on the other end won't have trouble hearing. The noise-canceling tech is pretty darn great too.

Beats Powerbeats Wireless Earbuds for $111 ($39 off): These Beats earbuds are our favorites for workouts. They're wireless but have a wire connecting each earbud, so you can rest them around your neck when you're not listening. More importantly, they're sweatproof. They produce good sound, and they pack 15 hours of total battery life.

Tribit MaxSound Plus Bluetooth Speaker for $50 ($50 off With Coupon): Click the on-page coupon to see the deal at checkout. Tribit makes some of the best budget Bluetooth speakers on the market, and the MaxSound Plus is no different. It's waterproof (IPX7) and has 20 hours of battery life.

Blue Snowball Ice USB Microphone for $40 ($10 off): The built-in microphones on laptops are, by and large, terrible. If you're going to record a video you want to be proud of, or even if you just want to up your Zoom game, get a USB mic. You'll sound a lot better to the folks on the other end. It connects via USB-A cable, so you may need a dock if your computer only has USB-C ports.

Anker PowerCore III Power Bank for $49 ($17 off): Power banks are underrated. They certainly beat fumbling around a café or an airport for an outlet. This 19,200-mAh model is relatively small and lightweight. It’ll charge up an iPhone 11 four times or a MacBook Air once (though the latter likely won't charge as quickly if you're using it at the same time). It comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

Roku Ultra for $69 ($31 off): This is the most fully-featured Roku streaming device currently available. It supports 4K resolution—with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos surround sound—and has Bluetooth built-in so you can cast music and podcasts to your TV from another device. Roku is the Gear Team’s favorite streaming service because of its reliability, vast library, and slick user interface.

Two Fire HD 10 Kids Tablets for $280 ($180 off): You have to buy two and also be a Prime member, but this early Prime Day deal on the latest model of Amazon’s popular tablet also includes a year of Amazon Kids+, parental controls, and a tough case. It has a 1080p resolution screen, 32 GB of storage, and it charges via USB-C.

Razer Kiyo Webcam for $75 ($25 off): The Razer Kiyo is our favorite webcam for most people. You can set the resolution to 1080p at 30 frames per second or 720p at up to 60 frames per second, and the integrated ring light makes it stand out from the competition.

GoPro Hero9 5K Camera for $350 ($170 off): This bundle includes a one-year subscription to GoPro ($50 value), which nets you unlimited cloud storage for all your videos at the highest video quality, plus you get an extra battery. WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson is a big fan of the Hero9's (9/10, WIRED Recommends) 5K resolution footage and the full-color front screen.

Spend $10, Get $10 at Amazon: If you spend $10 on items from a small business storefront on Amazon from now until June 20, Amazon will give you $10 credit to spend on June 21 and 22 for Prime Day. Keep an eye on your email inbox for the confirmation of the deal after your initial purchase. You have to be a Prime member to take advantage of this offer.
